• Compact and Portable: If you’re a photographer or videographer on the go, and you need a compact yet substantial light source, the Torpedo is the solution. The lightweight Torpedo packs up into a small carry case that will pad it from the bumps and impacts of travel.
• COB LED Array: Chip-on-board (COB) technology allows the Torpedo to emit the equivalent of a 300 W bulb from a tiny array. In addition to extra brightness, the COB LED array eliminates the headache of multiple shadows that’s common in LED lighting.
• Fresnel Lens: The Torpedo’s Fresnel lens lets you focus the beam from a concentrated 15° spot with a long throw to a wide 75° flood. This allows you to focus the light on one spot, like your subject’s face, or illuminate the entire frame.
• Daylight Balance: With an accurate color temperature of 5600 K, you can illuminate your subjects and match the color temperature of natural light coming through a window.
• Stepless Dimming: The stepless dimming knob lets you dial in the precise brightness you need for a perfect exposure.
• Color Accuracy: You won’t need to spend your time at the computer, color correcting your shots. With high CRI and TLCI ratings, the Torpedo’s color output is extremely accurate.
• Battery or Plug-In power: The light operates on either battery or plug-in power, so you’ll never be left without a way to light your subjects. If you’re worried about people walking or tripping over your power cables in a crowded room, you can switch to battery power in seconds.
• NP-F or V-Mount Batteries: You can power the Torpedo whether you have Sony NP-F style batteries or a V-mount battery in your bag. A D-tap cable is included to connect a V-mount battery to the Torpedo.
• Fan Cooled: The thermostatic fan automatically engages to cool off the Torpedo. This ensures that the light won’t overheat or shut down over long shooting sessions. The fan is quiet enough that your microphone won’t pick up fan noise, a plus for you if you’re shooting a video and recording live sound or dialog.
• Barndoors: The barndoors will narrow your beam and prevent light spill onto your background for the perfect portrait.
• Diffusers and Filters: The included diffusers and filters give you an additional level of control over your light. Diffusers of two different densities soften the beams and provide you with a sensuous wraparound light. Use the colored filters for creative highlights on hair, clothes, or your background.
• Multivoltage: The Torpedo is capable of running on North American and international voltages. Take it with you, even if you’re leaving the country to shoot abroad.
