The USB 400 FO Extender supports all USB 2.0 devices, extending to 1640 feet (500 meters) away from the USB source using 50/125μm multi-mode fiber, or 900 feet (275 meters) using a 62.5/125 μm multi-mode fiber. The receiver end is also a four USB 2.0 hub.
By using fiber optic cables, the USB 400 FO extends a long distance from the location of a computer. It provides an EMI-free solution for using USB at remote locations.
