The JBL EON10 G2 Portable Powered Speaker is a compact, self-powered loudspeaker built for live sound reinforcement, speech, vocals, and music playback in entertainment, A/V, and institutional venues where easy setup, consistent coverage, and portability matter. It also works well for amplification, mixing, and monitoring for electronic and electro-acoustic instruments, making it a practical choice for small stages, portable PA rigs, and rehearsal spaces.

Performance and Sound Coverage

This powered speaker uses a 10˝ Differential Drive low frequency driver with a neodymium magnet for reduced weight and lower distortion, paired with a 1˝ JBL compression driver featuring a titanium diaphragm and ferro-fluid cooling for reliable high-frequency performance. The built-in, bi-amplified design delivers 125 watts to the low-frequency driver and 50 watts to the high-frequency driver (actual power delivered to the drivers), supporting a rated maximum SPL of 117 dB at 1 m. A 60° x 90° (nominal) constant directivity horn helps keep coverage consistent across the audience or listening area.

Frequency range is 65 Hz to 18 kHz (-10 dB), with a frequency response of 90 Hz to 16 kHz (±3 dB), providing clear vocal projection and solid output for music playback in smaller to mid-sized spaces.

Inputs, Mixing, and Expansion

Connection options include three inputs: one balanced input with mic/line selection and one dual-channel 1/4˝ TRS phone line-level input. A balanced loop/mix output lets you daisy-chain additional EON speakers or send the mixed output to a mixing console, which is useful for expanding a system without adding extra outboard gear.

Portable Enclosure and Thermal Management

The rugged, lightweight black co-polymer enclosure is designed for both front-of-house use and stage monitoring, thanks to its multi-angle cabinet shape. For easy mounting, it includes an integral 35 mm pole mount receptacle with a securing thumb screw. JBL’s Thermomaster Total Thermal Management System uses a single-piece cast-aluminum baffle that integrates the woofer frame, horn, and amplifier heat sink, with airflow through finned ports to dissipate heat, so no internal or external cooling fans are required.
