Built for modern AV-over-IP networks
Designed to support common entertainment and installed-sound workflows, the GigaCore 14R is compliant with a wide range of protocols, including Avnu AVB/MILAN, Dante, RAVENNA/AES67, Q-SYS/Q-LAN, sACN, ArtNet, MA-Net2, HogNet, and IEEE 1588 PTP v2. Sound protocol compliance is specified for low jitter operation, helping maintain stable performance in audio transport environments.
Flexible copper and fiber connectivity
The switch provides 12 x shielded Neutrik Ethercon Gigabit ports for rugged copper connections, plus 2 x SFP cages that can accept any compliant fiber transceiver to extend runs beyond copper limitations. Auto negotiation, MDI/MDIX auto crossover, and duplex auto sensing help streamline deployment in fast-paced show conditions.
Performance and traffic control for busy systems
With 32Gbps switching throughput, jumbo frames up to an MTU of 9600, and an 8192-entry MAC address table, the GigaCore 14R is equipped to handle high device counts and heavy multicast traffic. IGMP support (V1/V2/V3) and IGMP snooping (enabled by default) help manage multicast streams efficiently, which is especially useful for AV-over-IP distributions.
Network resilience and management
RLinkX (link redundancy), MultiLinkX (link aggregation), and Groups (VLAN segmentation) provide the tools to separate traffic types, increase bandwidth, and improve failover behavior. A profile manager supports repeatable configuration across venues and tours, and an RJ45 serial console port is available for direct access when needed. Two power backup ports on the rear add another layer of reliability for mission-critical networks.
Rack-ready design
Housed in a 1U 19-inch rackmount chassis (19" x 8.04" x 1.73") and weighing 6.39 lbs (2.9 kg), the GigaCore 14R integrates cleanly into touring racks and fixed AV infrastructure. This version ships with a 160W PoE supply for powering compatible PoE devices where required.
