The Elation Proteus Smarty Hybrid is an IP65-certified moving light designed for indoor or outdoor rigs that need one fixture to cover beam, spot, and wash looks. With the Philips MSD Platinum 200 Flex lamp and FLEX technology, it delivers high output in a compact package while supporting efficient operation and long lamp life (up to 6,000 hours), making it well suited for touring, festivals, and permanent installations where weather resistance and versatility matter.
Beam, Spot, and Wash Performance
Use the motorized zoom to quickly shift from tight aerial effects to broader coverage, with ranges of 1° to 18° (beam), 3° to 27° (spot), and 5° to 33° (wash). Output is rated at 11,000 total lumens, with photometrics including 128,426 LUX (11,931 FC) at 49.2 ft (15 m) in min zoom beam, and 135,108 LUX (12,552 FC) at 16.4 ft (5 m) in min zoom spot. Motorized focus includes an auto-focus feature for faster setup across changing zoom and gobo looks.
Color, Gobos, Prism, and Effects
Creative tools include a full CMY color mixing system plus 13 dichroic colors (including quad-color, CTO, CTB, and UV). For texture and projection, the fixture provides 8 rotating interchangeable glass gobos and 12 static stamped metal gobos. A full frost filter supports smoother wash effects, while independent rotating 16-facet and 4-facet linear prisms add beam multiplication and movement. Multiple CMY color, gobo, and prism macros help speed up programming.
Control, Connectivity, and Outdoor-Ready Hardware
The Proteus Smarty Hybrid supports DMX, RDM, Art-NET, and sACN for flexible integration with modern lighting networks. IP65-rated connections include 5-pin XLR, RJ45 ethernet in/out, and locking power in. A full color 180° reversible LCD menu display with battery backup aids configuration and service access.
Rigging and Electrical
Movement and positioning include pan angle of 540°/630° and tilt angle of 262°, paired with a high speed shutter and strobe. Power is handled by a multi-voltage universal auto switching power supply (100-240V).
