The Martin VDO Sceptron 10 is a linear, outdoor-rated LED video fixture built for the rental and staging market. With a 10 mm pixel pitch and a modular system of optical accessories, it is well suited for creating video lines, set accents, architectural outlines, and pixel-mapped effects where fast deployment and consistent output matter.

Control, Mapping, and Workflow

The VDO Sceptron 10 is driven by the Martin P3 System Controller family for straightforward configuration, mapping, and setup, and is also backwards compatible with DMX for smaller or mixed-control rigs. It supports P3 Control with VideoMapping and Hybrid DMX + P3 Control (toggle in real time between DMX, PixelMapping, and VideoMapping using the P3 Switch channel), plus an extensive range of built-in effects and intuitive mapping and addressing via the P3 System Controller.

Power/Data Integration and System Compatibility

Integrated power and data cabling supports long daisy-chains with many fixtures per cable run, and the power supply can be located backstage (up to 50 m away) for cleaner runs and fewer visible driver boxes. The combined power and data cabling is compatible with other products such as VDO Fatron and VDO Dotron, and the fixture is supported by the integrated power and data processor (P3 PowerPort 1500, P3 PowerPort 1000 IP, or DMX PowerPort 375) and simple cabling system.

Optics, Output, and Color Consistency

For consistent results across fixtures and products, the VDO Sceptron 10 is fully brightness and color calibrated (colors matched with VDO Fatron and VDO Dotron), with pixel-level brightness and color calibration for a homogenous look. High-quality 16-bit per color image processing helps deliver smooth dimming and accurate color rendering for video and pixel-mapped content. Output is rated at 250 cd per meter calibrated and 750 lumen per meter calibrated. Field-exchangeable diffusers and lenses make it easy to tailor the look without changing the fixture.
