EAW MicroWedge MW10 Stage Monitor Speaker

The EAW MicroWedge MW10 is a compact stage monitor speaker built for clear, consistent onstage monitoring in tight spaces. The MicroWedge MW10 is collaboration between original MicroWedge Series inventor Dave “Rat” Levine (founder of Rat Sound Systems, Inc.) and the EAW Engineering Department, resulting in dramatically upgraded performance and ergonomics.

Its coaxial design pairs a 10-inch woofer with a 1.75-inch voice-coil compression driver to deliver a focused sound that stays controlled as you move around the wedge. With 90-degree conical dispersion (90° horizontal x 90° vertical), performers and engineers can expect predictable coverage across the listening area, which helps reduce the need to overdrive a monitor mix to hear clearly.

Performance and Coverage for Stage Monitoring

The MW10 is designed for full-range monitor duties with a 65 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and up to 134 dB max SPL for confident output on louder stages. The subsystem includes a vented 10-inch cone low-frequency driver, coaxial with the high-frequency section, plus a 1-inch exit, horn-loaded compression driver for articulation and vocal intelligibility.

Amplification, Power, and Connectivity

The MW10 operates in single-amp LF/HF mode with a high-pass filter, and handles 500 W at 8 ohms in full-range operation. Connections are provided via NL4 input/loop, making it straightforward to integrate into common stage monitor signal paths.

Footprint and Load-In Practicality

For mobile rigs, installs, and crowded stages, the enclosure keeps a manageable footprint while still delivering professional output. It measures 11.36 x 13.07 x 18.41 inches (288.5 x 332 x 467.7 mm) and weighs 40.5 lb (18 kg).
