The Elation Platinum Beam 5R Extreme is the next evolution in extreme ACL / Beam moving heads. With improve optics, remote focus and faster movements speeds, this unit is the next evolution from our very successful Platinum Beam 5R. Fast 3 phase motors for all effects give it its new extreme speed effect and the advance optical design and remote focus allow for razor sharp extreme ACL projections.

Beam Output and Optics

Built around a 189W Platinum 5R lamp, the Platinum Beam 5R Extreme produces a tight 3° sharp pin spot beam designed for long-throw aerial looks, punchy stage beams, and high-impact sweeps. Motorized focus helps keep projections crisp at varying distances, and frost is available when you need to soften the beam for a wider, more blended look. Output is rated at 100,100 LUX (9,299 fc) @ 49.2 ft (15 m), with an average lamp life of 2,000 hours.

Color, Gobos, and Effects

For fast, show-ready looks, the fixture includes 12 colors (including UV plus CTO and CTB color correction, and white) and 8 metal rotating, indexing, interchangeable gobos. Effects include an 8-facet rotating prism and frost, giving you options from razor-thin ACL-style beams to more textured mid-air patterns.

Movement and Control

Super fast 16-bit 3-phase pan/tilt motors are built for quick snaps and smooth tracking. Movement ranges include 540°/630° pan and 270° tilt. Dimming is electronic from 0% to 100%, strobe runs 1 to 18 fps, and operation is specified as flicker free for TV and FILM. Control and configuration are handled via a 6-button control panel with a full-color 180° reversible LCD display, and the fixture supports 12/14/18 DMX channel modes.

Connectivity and System Integration

Integration into wired or wireless rigs is straightforward with 3-pin and 5-pin DMX in/out, plus an internal EWDMX wireless DMX receiver. The fixture also supports Remote Device Management (RDM) protocol for compatible DMX/RDM systems, which can streamline addressing and monitoring across larger lighting setups. Power is via powerCON in.
