The Obsidian Netron EP2 XLR sACN Art-Net Node is a compact Ethernet to DMX gateway built for reliable two-universe distribution in permanent installs, touring rigs, and standalone setups. With two RDM-compatible, optically isolated 5-pin ports, it can be used for DMX output or DMX input, making it a flexible bridge between your lighting network and fixtures.

These units are Elation B-Stock and come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.  All fixtures are cleaned and tested before leaving the building.

Network DMX, Simplified Setup and Control

Support for ArtNet and sACN lets you drop the EP2 into common lighting networks, while factory and user presets speed up deployment when you need a plug-and-play configuration. A 1.3 inch OLED display with rotary knob makes on-device status checks and basic navigation quick, and deeper setup is handled through the internal web remote for convenient configuration from a browser.

Power and Mounting Options for Real-World Installs

Power the unit via PoE (802.3af) over its locking RJ45 network connection, or use the USB-C power option (5V, 2A) when PoE is not available. The powder-coated compact metal housing is designed for in-wall, on-wall, truss, and standalone mounting, helping keep installs neat in tight control areas and behind-the-scenes locations.

Compatible Systems and Workflow Benefits

The Netron EP2 can connect to ONYX PC for a full four universe solution, unlocks the ONYX NOVA 4-universe license, and supports NETRON CLU for remote configuration and firmware updates.
