The Elation Proteus Maximus is a bright IP65-rated LED profile moving light built for outdoor concerts, special events, theme parks, and cruise ships where weather resistance and long-throw output matter. It delivers up to 50,000 lumens from a custom designed 950W 6,500K LED engine, providing strong projection, beam, and wash performance in demanding environments.

Outdoor-Ready Output and Optics

Designed to cut through at distance, Proteus Maximus pairs an impressive 180mm front lens with a fast zoom range from 5.5° to 55°, making it suitable for tight aerial beams, crisp image projection, and wider stage coverage. Its fully dust and water proof design supports reliable use in outdoor and marine installations.

Color, Gobos, and Effects for Show Design

For flexible looks on stage or architectural environments, the fixture offers CMY color mixing with variable CTO, plus a 6-position color wheel (including high CRI and a UV filter). A comprehensive FX package includes:

• 2 gobo wheels with 6 rotating/indexing interchangeable glass gobos and 7 static glass gobos
• Full 360° bi-directional animation wheel
• Motorized iris with variable pulse effects
• 4-facet and linear rotating prisms
• Dual variable frost filters (light and wash)
• Internal color, framing, prism, and frost macros

Precision Framing and Movement Control

An indexable full blackout framing system with 4 rotating blades (with +/-45° framing indexing) enables clean shutter cuts and controlled beam shaping. Movement and intensity are smooth and responsive with 16-bit pan, tilt, and dimming control, plus variable 16-bit dimming curve modes and a high-speed electronic shutter and strobe.

Control and Connectivity

Proteus Maximus supports DMX and RDM, plus Art-NET and sACN for networked lighting systems. It offers two DMX channel modes (37 / 61), a 5-pin XLR DMX in/out, a wired digital communication network, and a (6) button touch control panel with a full color 180° reversible LCD menu display. Additional workflow features include motorized focus with auto-focus presets, DMX controllable LED refresh rate, and hibernation mode (power save).
