NEW Kino Flo FreeStyle Air LED DMX System

The NEW Kino Flo FreeStyle Air LED DMX System is a lightweight, thin-profile LED panel built for fast deployment on set, whether you are working on a stand, hanging overhead, or rigging to surfaces. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing FreeStyle systems, it is compatible with FreeStyle mounts, extension cables, and LED-140 and LED-150 Series controllers, making it an easy add-on for current FreeStyle owners and operators.

Built for Portable Rigging and Everyday Handling

In addition to a twist-on mount for light stands and corner bumpers for 4-point hangs, the FreeStyle Air includes eyelets to simplify overhead and other surface attachment. Its rigid construction helps prevent flex during handling and protects internal components when moving quickly between setups.

Stable Output, Accurate Color, and Quiet Operation

FreeStyle Air delivers Kino Flo’s renowned Color Science LED technology with high color fidelity, including TLCI >96, CRI >96, and TM-30-18 (Rf=95, Rg=103). You can dial in color temperature from 2500K to 9900K with Kelvin presets, plus Green/Magenta control for matching ambient light and other fixtures. For creative looks and precise matching, it also supports Hue angle and Saturation adjustments, Kino Flo presets and gels, RGB control, CIE xy control, FX control, camera profiles (LUTs), and color space options.

Light levels do not change when selecting Kelvin settings, and the fixture is designed for no color shift while dimming, which is helpful when making intensity changes mid-scene. Operation is flicker-free and quiet for film, broadcast, and interview environments.

DMX Workflow and App Control

The FreeStyle Air supports full range onboard and DMX dimming, including a DMX wireless link (Lumen Radio) and DMX Auto Terminate. It also works with apps that offer predetermined RGB presets or color wheels, and you can use preset buttons to store custom Kelvin settings for repeatable setups.

Efficient Power and Serviceable Design

With universal input (100VAC to 240VAC) or 24VDC, FreeStyle Air is well suited to studio power or battery-based workflows. It is energy efficient, drawing 1.25A at 120VAC and 6.25A at 24VDC. Usable LED life is extended with a proven passively cooled design that helps keep color and luminosity stable over the rated life of the LEDs.

Ease of maintenance is built into a user serviceable design with a removable upper rail and quick access to pull-out LED platens that can be replaced or repaired. Firmware is updatable from a PC using the Mini B USB data port.

Size and Weight for Location Work

FreeStyle Air measures 39.5 x 2 x 13 inches (100 x 5 x 33cm) and weighs 5 lb (2kg), balancing a broad, soft-source footprint with location-friendly portability.
