The Chroma-Q Space Force octo LED is a variable white LED space light designed as a modern replacement for conventional space lights and soft light sources commonly used in film and TV studios. It delivers a smooth, soft, uniform 60° beam from a natively single-source design, and its diffuse output can reduce reliance on additional silks or skirts in many overhead soft-light setups.

Studio-Ready Output and Color Quality

With hot lumen output up to 26,700 lm, the Space Force octo LED is comparable to a traditional 6kW fixture while running cool and efficiently. CCT is tuneable from 2,800K to 6,000K (+/- 200K) for fast matching to tungsten, mixed practicals, or daylight-balanced environments. High color rendering supports critical camera work, with CRI up to 97, TLCI up to 97, TM-30-18 up to Rf 94 / Rg 100, and SSI up to 87.

Quiet, Lightweight, Low-Maintenance Design

Built for sound-sensitive sets, the fixture has no fans and no noise, and a rated sound level of 24.6 dB. At only 8 kg (17.6 lb), it is easier to rig and reposition on grids and studio infrastructure, and LED longevity is rated at L70 to 50,000 hours to help minimize maintenance.

Control and Flicker Management for Camera Work

Control options include Manual Intensity / Colour Temperature and multiple DMX modes, including 2 channel Intensity / Colour Temperature, plus Focus, Link, Memory 1 / 2, and Addressing. Variable PWM flicker-free operation supports high-speed and broadcast applications, and Wireless DMX / RDM capability simplifies integration into modern lighting networks.
