The ARRI T2 2000W Location Fresnel is a compact, high-output tungsten Fresnel designed for professional studio and on-location lighting, delivering a controllable beam with classic Fresnel punch for key, fill, or backlight applications. It is part of ARRI’s T series, an evolution of the Studio and Location fixtures that have been popular for over twenty years, shaped by feedback from lighting professionals worldwide and updated with advances in technology.

Built for demanding sets, the T2 combines reduced weight and compact size with maximum light output, helping crews move quickly between setups without sacrificing beam control. The Fresnel lens provides smooth focusing from spot to flood, making it easy to shape light for interviews, narrative scenes, or product work where consistent edge quality matters.

Cooling and Thermal Management

Arri's cross-cooling system reduces lamp housing temperature by 25% and lens temperature by 17%. With special air channels built into the aluminum extrusion, a constant stream of air passes around the Fresnel lens and into the lamp head regardless of the tilt angle. In practice, this supports steadier operation during long takes and frequent repositioning.

Beam Output and Control

When fitted with a 2000 watt bulb, this fixture will provide a 4.6' (1.4 m) diameter beam of 470 fc from a distance of 19.8' (6 m) at full spot. At full flood (same distance), it will provide a fc beam 22.8' (6.9 m) in diameter. The 6.9" (17.5 cm) lens diameter helps maintain the characteristic Fresnel beam quality across the focus range.
