GLP's Impression X4S is a compact RGBW LED wash moving light built for punchy output, fast positioning, and flexible looks in a small footprint. It uses 7 x 14W RGBW cells that can be programmed with custom pattern effects, making it a practical choice for stage wash, aerial beams, and pixel-style effects in touring rigs, houses of worship, and event production.

Optics and Zoom Performance

The Impression X4S features a motorized zoom system with a 7 to 50 degree beam angle. In the lower zoom range, the optics provide a well defined hard beam; in the middle and upper range, the zoom is absolutely homogeneous and soft for smooth, even coverage.

Motion, Control, and Effects

Designed for responsive movement and repeatable cues, it offers position feedback and high precision 3-phase stepping motor control. Maximum speed is 660 pan in 2 seconds and 260 tilt in 1 second. For show control, it supports the DMX-512 protocol with 8 or 16-bit resolution for fine movement and dimming, plus macro operation of individual lenses.

A continuous dimmer provides 0 to 100 percent intensity control, along with variable speed strobe from 1 to 25 Hz. Random strobe, pulse effects, and built-in macro options help build dynamic looks quickly when programming time is limited.

Power, Cooling, and Practical Details

The fixture uses high power quad-color LEDs (15W) and a high efficiency collimator cluster for maximum light output, with a stated 50,000 hours life time. A very quiet temperature controlled ventilation system supports use in noise-sensitive environments.

Dimensions (head vertical) are 6.4 inches x 8.5 inches x 12 inches (220mm x 155mm x 310mm), with a net weight of 12 lbs (5.2 kg), helping keep rigging and transport manageable.
