The d&b Audiotechnik B2 Subwoofer is a high-output bandpass horn subwoofer designed for extended bass requirements and extremely high SPL in demanding live sound and installed sound applications. It can be configured either as an infrabass extension for the C4 system or as a high-output alternative subwoofer for the F1222 or C7 systems.

High-SPL Low-Frequency Performance

With a dual 18-inch driver design and a rated power handling capacity of 600 W RMS (2400 W peak, 10 ms), the B2 is built to deliver impactful low end where headroom matters. Frequency response reaches down to 37–90 Hz (-5 dB) (or 32–68 Hz depending on configuration), making it suitable for both tight, punchy bass and deeper infrabass support when deployed as part of the appropriate system setup.

Amplifier Integration and Scalability

The B2 is designed for use with d&b amplifier platforms, supporting up to 2 cabinets per D12 and up to 4 cabinets per D20/D80/D90. Maximum sound pressure is specified at 139/136 dB SPL with D12 and 139/136 dB SPL with D80/D90, enabling consistent performance across compatible amplification options.

Tour-Ready Physical Design

The enclosure measures 1160 x 580 x 920 mm (45.6 x 22.8 x 36.2 in) and weighs 102 kg (225 lb), reflecting the robust construction typical of high-output subwoofer systems intended for professional deployment.
