The d&b audiotechnik E5 is a lightweight 2-way passive loudspeaker designed for mobile nearfield reinforcement of speech and music. Using a ferrite LF driver with a coaxially mounted wide-dispersion dome tweeter, it delivers clear, consistent coverage in theatres, conferences, industrial presentations, broadcast studios, and for surround, delay, and fill duties.

Wide, Symmetrical Coverage in a Compact Enclosure

The E5 provides a 100° conical dispersion pattern, offering wide, symmetrical coverage in both the horizontal and vertical plane, which helps maintain uniform tonality across the listening area. Because the cabinet may be mounted in either attitude, it is easier to position as a discreet fill or delay speaker where space and sightlines matter.

System-Friendly Passive Design

This compact coaxial loudspeaker features a passive crossover network and a 16 Ω nominal impedance, making it practical for multi-cabinet deployments, up to 4 cabinets per amplifier channel depending on the amplifier used. Power handling is rated at 60 W RMS (400 W peak, 10 ms) for reliable performance in nearfield and distributed systems.
