The Elation Smarty Hybrid is a compact, full-featured CMY color mixing spot, beam, and wash hybrid luminaire built for flexible stage, event, and production lighting. It uses the Philips MSD Platinum 200 Flex lamp with “FLEX” technology, a smart discharge lamp and ballast design that delivers high output in a compact fixture, with an efficient, long-life solution of up to 6,000 hours.

Hybrid Beam, Spot, and Wash Performance

With 11,000 total lumen output and motorized zoom, the Smarty Hybrid covers tight aerial looks through broader coverage without changing fixtures. Zoom ranges are 1° to 18° in beam mode, 3° to 27° in spot mode, and 5° to 33° in wash mode. A full frost filter is included for smooth wash effects, and motorized focus with an auto-focus feature helps keep projections crisp during programming and movement.

Color, Gobos, and Prism Effects

For color control, it includes a full CMY color mixing system plus 13 dichroic colors (including a quad-color filter, CTB, CTO, and UV). Texture and projection options include 8 rotating interchangeable glass gobos and 12 static-stamped metal gobos, along with multiple CMY color, gobo, and prism macros for faster looks. Beam shaping effects are enhanced by independent rotating prisms (16-facet and 5-facet linear), plus high speed shutter and strobe for dynamic chases and accents.

Control, Networking, and Power

The fixture supports DMX, RDM (Remote Device Management), Art-NET, and sACN for integration into modern lighting networks, and includes Elation’s E-FLY internal wireless DMX transceiver for cable-free DMX workflows where appropriate. Connectivity includes 5pin XLR, RJ45 etherCON, and Neutrik TRUE1 power in/out. A full color 180° reversible LCD menu display with battery backup supports setup and addressing, and the multivoltage universal auto switching power supply (100-240V) simplifies deployment across venues. Additional features include lamp hibernation mode and FLEX lamp technology from 190 to 280W.
