The Vari-Lite FLX S24 Console is a 24 fader lighting control surface built to make professional-looking shows fast and approachable. Bringing the legacy and power of Vari-Lite consoles into an easy-to-use, affordable package, it is a lighting design-centric desk for the non-designer. It is a strong fit for schools, houses of worship, broadcast studios, and portable applications where you need confident live control without a steep learning curve.
Hands-on programming designed for speed
At the center of the workflow is the console’s simple “three-step programming,” select what you want, choose where you want to control it, and set how you want it to look. The 7-inch multitouch screen helps you quickly adjust colors, moving light parameters, and other settings, while four physical encoders and dedicated buttons for go, record, delete, and more keep common actions quick and tactile during live operation. Vari-Lite’s award-winning ZerOS software provides a mature, easy-to-use platform you can trust for day-to-day programming and show playback.
Creative tools for modern fixtures and color
For faster color building, the Image Picker lets you upload a photo and select different colors in one or more areas of the image to create variation and depth. Mood Boards by LEE Filters help you choose coordinated palettes efficiently. The console also supports multicell fixtures, letting you control all pixels in a multi-pixel fixture as easily as single-cell fixtures, without intensity conflicts, and making it straightforward to apply color gradients and dynamic effects.
Connectivity, patching, and system management
The FLX S24 supports 2048 channels of control and offers two 5-pin DMX ports, plus support for Ethernet protocols such as sACN, Art-Net, CITP, OSC, Vision.Net, and more. With up to 64 universes of DMX connectivity, you can scale from small rigs to larger systems and organize your patch the way your venue or touring workflow demands. RigSync simplifies commissioning by finding fixtures via RDM, automatically patching them, and continually monitoring the system to adapt to changes. For venues using relay circuits to power the lighting grid, relay-per-fixture control helps manage power manually or automatically.
Built for everyday use and transport
The Onscreen Guidance tool provides situational tips and advice in English, Spanish, French, and German, helping new operators stay oriented without getting in the way. For practical portability, the console measures 68 x 461 x 284 mm (2.7 x 18.1 x 11.2 in) and weighs 4.0 kg (8.8 lb), making it easy to deploy in multi-use spaces and mobile setups.
