The ProPlex IQ Two 88 2X Ethernet-DMX Node is a rack-mount Ethernet-to-DMX gateway built for lighting networks that need reliable conversion, patching, and merging across multiple universes. With a high-power processor and support for ArtNet and sACN (E1.31), it is designed for low-latency distribution between your console, media server, and DMX fixtures, whether you are building a touring rig or a permanent install.

Control, Networking, and Data Handling

Manage the node locally via the on-board LCD, or configure it over the network using the browser interface or ProPlex Software. Two Neutrik EtherCon RJ45 ports support fast linking between units, and can be used with GBS and EZ-LAN for ring topology to improve speed and add redundancy. The unit can merge ArtNet or Streaming ACN from multiple sources, making it useful for backup consoles, multi-controller environments, or integrated show control systems.

DMX and RDM for Modern Fixtures

With 8 DMX ports on Neutrik XLR5 female connectors, the IQ Two 88 2X can handle up to 8 ArtNet/sACN universes (max). Each DMX port features optical isolation up to 1000V to help protect equipment from faults. It also provides full bi-directional RDM functionality, allowing RDM input or output on any DMX connector for fixture addressing, monitoring, and configuration.

Power and Tour-Ready Build

Power the unit from 100-240V AC (50-60 Hz) via a Neutrik PowerCon NAC3MPA connector, or use PoE in (802.3af) for simpler infrastructure or dual-power redundancy. The rugged ProPlex “Blue Box” construction is built for road use while still fitting cleanly into standard racks at 19 in x 1.72 in x 13.5 in, and it weighs 8.83 lbs (3.1 kg). Power consumption is 48W, and the fuse is rated 1A, 250V.
