The ACME Lightning is an IP66-rated LED strobe, beam, and wash fixture built for demanding indoor and outdoor use, delivering dynamic strobe looks, punchy pixel beams, and a wide, soft flood wash from a single unit. Integrated Smart Glass Technology (patented) provides a DMX-controllable electronic frost that softens the output on cue for additional texture and diffusion effects.
Output and LED Engine
The LIGHTNING is powered by 240, 12-Watt RGBW LEDs and 30, 10-Watt cool white pixel beam LEDs. The RGBW LEDs are divided into 30 independent sections with a cool white LED centered in each color LED section, giving you layered looks that combine broad color wash with tight, cool white beam definition. The RGBW LEDs have a 102° beam angle while the cool white LEDs are at 3.5° for strong contrast between wash and beam effects. The fixture outputs a 6,300K color temperature and is rated for 20,000 hours of light source life.
Control, Networking, and Performance
For programming flexibility, the unit offers ten different DMX control modes and built-in effects macros, with control channel options ranging from 10 to 158 channels depending on the mode. It supports DMX512 and RDM, plus Art-Net and sACN over RJ45, making it suitable for both traditional DMX rigs and networked lighting systems. Flicker-free operation from 900 Hz to 25,000 Hz helps reduce on-camera artifacts, and you can tailor fades using 0 to 100% dimming with four user-selectable dimming curves. Firmware can be upgraded via a DMX link.
Rigging and Multi-Fixture Builds
The LIGHTNING can be mounted in any orientation with its yoke. The yoke assembly has a center hole for clamps and two omega bracket attachment points. The unit also features camlocks on all sides and a hiding twist-lock design to quickly combine multiple fixtures side-to-side and top-to-bottom, helping you build aligned matrices for stage, broadcast, and architectural-style effects. Waterproof power in/out and waterproof data connections (3-pin or 5-pin XLR and RJ45) support cleaner, more reliable installs.
The ACME LIGHTNING changes and elevates the standard of strobe and wash lighting.
