The Ayrton RollaPix 100 is a motorised linear RGBW LED luminaire built for entertainment and scenic lighting, designed to create dynamic linear beams, pixel effects, and virtual set elements on stage. With eight independently controlled 10W RGBW LED sources and a distinctive dual 4:1 motorized zoom system, RollaPix supports everything from tight beam looks to wider washes, with smooth fades that read clearly in haze and on camera.

Dual Motorized Zoom and Pixel Control

ROLLAPIX is the first motorised linear LED luminaire fitted with a 4:1 double zoom system. The two separate motorized linear zoom systems (ratio 4:1) allow beam apertures from 8 to 32 degrees, giving you flexible coverage and the ability to build layered looks across a line. Each of the 8 emitters can be controlled independently, enabling chases, segmented effects, and graphic-style cues that can be combined with built-in dynamic effects and colour macros.

Color, Output, and On-Camera Performance

RollaPix uses 8 multi-chip 10W high-power RGBW LED sources with high-efficiency 45 mm PMMA secondary optics, rated at 75% optic efficiency and delivering up to 2,500 lumens. Sophisticated 4-colour RGBW mixing provides rich saturated and pastel hues, with a uniform beam designed to minimize colour shadows. The Constant Color system helps maintain steady colours under varying internal and external temperature conditions. Flicker-free source management makes it suitable for TV applications and recorded events, and the electronic dimmer supports smooth 0 to 100% adjustment without colour variation.

Movement and Scenic Applications

The motorised tilt axis (270 degree tilt range) expands staging options for partitions, barriers, or mobile virtual doors, with high-resolution stepper motors (8 or 16-bit) for accurate positioning and smooth movement. Tilt automatic repositioning supports consistent operation during setup and show use, and built-in pattern effects with speed and fade controls help tailor movement-based scenic looks.

Control, DMX Modes, and System Integration

Integration is straightforward with DMX 512 control via 5-pin XLR input/output, plus DMX RDM compatibility for remote addressing and status monitoring. Choose from 9 DMX modes (6 to 45 channels) to match your console workflow, from simple setups to full pixel and effect control. Stand-alone and Master/Slave modes are available for installations or smaller rigs, and a graphic LCD display (with flip function) plus a 5-button local control panel provide quick access to addressing and special functions. The information menu includes hour counter, temperature, and software version for maintenance tracking.
