ETC Gio 24000 Console

The ETC Gio 24000 Console is a professional lighting control surface designed for fast, accessible programming and playback in theatre, broadcast, and live event environments. Gio has a fast, accessible control surface, with an easy-to-navigate backlit keypad. It includes two integral, articulating multi-touch displays and supports up to three external monitors, all of which can also be multi-touch, giving operators a flexible, high-visibility workspace for complex cueing, busking, and multi-user workflows.

Control Surface and Playback

Gio is built for hands-on control, combining a familiar Eos-family keypad layout with dedicated playback tools. A dedicated master-playback fader pair supports confident show control, while 10 definable motorized faders (30 pages of control) and 8 user-definable buttons provide quick access to cues, submasters, and custom actions. Four pageable haptic encoders offer tactile parameter adjustment, helping speed up focusing and fine-tuning during programming or live operation.

Displays, Monitors, and Workspace Management

The console includes two integral articulating 12.1" LCD multi-touch displays and supports three external high resolution DVI/SVGA monitors (single- or multi-touch). For efficient screen organization, Gio provides three user-definable workspaces per monitor with discrete split-screen controls and frame management. Single- or multiple-screen snapshots allow instant reconfiguration, which is useful when switching between programming, playback, and troubleshooting views.

Networking, Protocols, and System Integration

Gio can integrate into an Eos Ti, Eos or Ion system with ease, acting as a primary, backup or client console in combination with the rest of the family. Accessories available for Ti, Eos and Ion service Gio as well, and the keypad layout is virtually identical to Ti, making moving between platforms a snap. For show and infrastructure connectivity, Gio supports ETCNet3 (ACN- based), ETCNet2, Artnet and Avab UPD protocol output, plus client/server networking with synchronized backup. It also supports 12 discrete online users with partitioned control for collaborative operation.

Advanced Control, Media, and Device Management

For modern rig workflows, Gio supports configuring and programming a pixel-map layout using integral or custom-designed content. Device discovery and troubleshooting via RDM helps streamline fixture setup and maintenance. The console also supports ETC Sensor CEM+, CEM3 and FDX dimmer feedback and controls for integrated monitoring and adjustments.

Connectivity, Software Options, and File Compatibility

An integrated keyboard drawer with USB ports and a backlit keyboard support comfortable, low-light operation. Multiple MIDI and SMPTE inputs, as well as OSC and UDP String support, make Gio suitable for timecode-based shows and external control integration. For programming flexibility, Gio supports Client and Offline programming on PC (Windows 7 or 8) and native on Macintosh (Intel only, OS X), via Nomad. It also supports data-laundering from Obsession, Express, Expression, Emphasis, Congo, Cobalt, Transtechnik NT, Avab VLC, Grand MA1 and Strand 500/300 series show files.
