This Chamsys Compact Connect console was purchased new in October of 2025. It shows minor wear and is in like new condition.
The MagicQ Compact Connect is a lightweight USB control surface that connects to your PC or Mac to control lighting, media, and LEDs, giving you hands-on playback and programming control while running MagicQ software.
Designed for touring and installed venues
Small enough to travel inside hand luggage, the portable Compact Connect is packed with powerful features for touring Lighting Designers and for installation into theatres, schools, clubs, studios and venues. It’s a practical way to bring tactile faders, encoders, and dedicated masters to a laptop-based MagicQ workflow.
Control and output options
It has 2 direct DMX512 outputs for straightforward connection to fixtures, and it sends up to 64 universes of ArtNet and sACN directly from its onboard network port without the need for additional licenses or dongles. For live show operation, the surface provides 10 playback faders with Flash, Go and Select buttons, plus a dedicated Grand Master and Crossfader for overall level control.
Hands-on programming and connectivity
The design of the Compact Connect provides illuminated access to fixture parameters via 8 rotary encoders. An internal USB hub, audio input, 10Scene/Remote Input port and working light socket bring additional connectivity and convenience, making it well-suited for show control in tight FOH positions or mobile rigs.
