The MA Lighting grandMA2 Full-Size (8GB) is a flagship lighting control console built to run conventional, moving light, LED, and media fixtures from one platform. Designed for demanding productions and venues, it combines high-capacity control with a layout that supports fast programming, playback, and live operation.

Powerful Control for Complex Rigs

The grandMA2 full-size represents MA Lighting's most powerful console and offers the control of conventional light, moving lights, LED fixtures and media from on one platform.

In connection with MA NPU, it provides real-time control for up to 65,536 parameters per session (equivalent to 256 DMX universes), with 8,192 HTP/LTP parameters and 6 DMX outputs for direct integration into a wide range of systems. Two etherCON connectors support network-based workflows common in modern lighting environments.

Workflow, Screens, and Hands-On Playback

Equipped with the most up-to-date technology and even some special features (e.g. keyboard drawer and multi-touch command screen), the grandMA2 is suitable for all lighting segments and supplies an intuitive and fast control of all connected fixtures and channels.

Three internal 15.4" WXGA touchscreens plus a 9" SVGA multi-touch command screen provide clear separation between programming, playback, and system views. If you prefer a larger visual workspace, two external TFT screens (UXGA, touchscreens accepted) can be connected.

For live busking and cue playback, the console includes 30 motorized executor faders, 2 motorized A/B faders (100mm), and a motorized monitor wing, along with individually backlit, dimmable silent (clickless) keys. The integrated keyboard drawer keeps typing and command entry close at hand without adding clutter.

Showfile Compatibility and Flexible Programming

Moreover grandMA 'series 1'-showfiles can be converted to be used with the grandMA2. And for yet easier operation, all command keys can be found in the same place on every console of the grandMA2 series. The grandMA2 offers extremely flexible and comfortable ways of programming, including nearly infinite numbers of presets, cues, pages, sequences and effects.

If you need even more physical playback, the grandMA2 fader wing provides up to 60 extra motorized executor faders for an almost unlimited number of pages.

Connectivity, Power Protection, and Physical Specs

Connectivity includes 5 USB 2.0 connectors and 2 etherCON connectors, supporting common peripherals and show storage workflows. A built-in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) helps protect the console during brief power interruptions.
