The Martin MAC Viper Wash DX is a full-feature, full-range wash luminaire designed for stage and event lighting where you need smooth, even coverage with precise beam control. Its unique internal barndoor system (shutters) helps designers shape and control light projection onto stages, performers, scenery, scrims or any set element with high accuracy, making it a highly capable automated substitute for a conventional daylight Fresnel fixture.

Output, Zoom, and Beam Control

With 33,000 lumens and a flat, uniform field, the MAC Viper Wash DX delivers bright washes that stay clean across the beam. The 1:5 zoom ranges from 13.5 to 59 degrees with continuous, fast zoom, and maintains near full efficiency throughout the zoom range with no visible beam jump when zooming from tight to wide. For additional shaping and looks, you also get an iris (fast and tight, with adjustable dynamic effects) plus diverse strobe effects.

Color and CCT Flexibility for Mixed Lighting

CMY color mixing provides a vibrant palette (including true reds, rich ambers, primary green and deep blues). A linear CTO system allows daylight-to-tungsten CCT control and expands the usable range of the CMY palette, which is especially helpful when matching cameras, practicals, or other fixtures on stage.

Performance and Effects

The combined dimmer/shutter system supports intensity effects, instant blackout/open, and smooth fades. The fixture uses the same 1000-watt lamp as the MAC Viper Profile and carries over the compact form, impressive speed, superior light quality and beautiful colors that the MAC Viper Profile is renowned for.
