Barco ImagePRO-II Jr

Barco ImagePRO-II Jr is a high-performance all-in-one video scaler, scan converter, switcher, and transcoder designed to translate a wide range of source formats into a stable, show-ready output for live events, production, and AV integration. It converts most input signal formats to most output formats, supporting Analog, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and 3G SDI signal formats, including 4K@30p via DisplayPort. ImagePRO-II Jr is built for fast system changes and dependable signal handling, with practical tools for HDCP and EDID management and low-latency converting modes when timing matters.

Signal Handling and Conversion

ImagePRO-II Jr supports modern and legacy connectivity so you can standardize output across common display and distribution systems. With 12-bit processing, it is well-suited for image scaling and format conversion where preserving detail and smooth gradients is important. It supports resolutions up to WQXGA (2560x1600) and frame rates up to 120 Hz for 1080p, helping match high-refresh workflows and avoiding unnecessary frame rate compromises.

Control and Integration

For day-to-day operation, it offers ImagePRO-3G front panel control and can be managed via web browser and tablet remote control. It also integrates with the Encore suite of controllers, making it a fit for environments that standardize on Barco control ecosystems. LED setup and configuration simplifies status checks and adjustments during setup and changeovers.

Reference, Sync, and Loop-Through

Loop-through outputs are provided for the Analog, DVI and SDI input and gen-lock signals, supporting cleaner signal routing and monitoring without extra splitters. An analog reference input/loop is available on BNC connectors and supports bi-level and blackburst at SD and tri-level at HD, or it can lock to any input signal. For stereoscopic workflows, S3D Sync is supported via Din connectors (input and output).

Configuration, Storage, and Output Behavior

System configuration and restore via USB helps you back up settings and rapidly recover a known-good configuration. Still store capture/import/export supports common operational needs such as holding frames or creating quick placeholders during switching. One input source output is available across all connectors that support the selected output resolution, helping keep output mapping consistent across supported connections.

Model Notes and Physical Specs

The Jr. model has the same functionality as the standard ImagePRO-II other than it cannot accept Dual-Link DVI signals and is not compatible with the Barco ImagePRO upgrade cards.
