Mixing Power in a Compact Console
The X32 Compact provides 16 MIDAS-designed, fully programmable mic preamps for detailed gain staging and consistent recall between sessions or venues. A high-resolution 7-inch day-viewable color TFT keeps routing, EQ, dynamics and sends easy to navigate, while 17 motorized 100 mm faders support fast scene changes and DAW control.
Inputs, Outputs, and Expandability
For flexible system integration, the console includes 8 XLR outputs plus 6 additional line input/outputs, dual headphone connectors, and a talkback section with integrated or external mic support. Dual AES50 ports make it 48-channel digital snake ready, using KLARK TEKNIK’s SuperMAC networking capability for low jitter and low latency, and an expansion port allows additional audio interface cards or digital networking bridges as your rig grows.
Recording, Remote Control, and Workflow Tools
A built-in 32 x 32 channel USB 2.0 audio interface supports multitrack recording and playback, with DAW remote control emulating HUI and Mackie Control. For remote mixing and monitor adjustments, iPad and iPhone apps are available free of charge, with no host PC required. A USB type-A connector supports file storage, uncompressed stereo recordings, show presets, and system updates. Individual, dynamic LCD Scribble Strips on channels and buses help keep layers organized during fast-paced shows.
Processing, Effects, and Bus Structure
The console is built around a 40-bit floating-point DSP design for wide internal headroom, near-zero overall latency (0.8 msec), and consistent performance under heavy routing and processing. Main LCR, 6 matrix buses, and all 16 mix buses include inserts, 6-band parametric EQ and full dynamics processing, plus 8 DCA and 6 mute groups for streamlined control. An 8-slot virtual FX rack provides true-stereo effects with high-end simulations such as Lexicon 480L and PCM70, EMT250 and Quantec QRS.
Connectivity for Monitoring and Control
ULTRANET connectivity supports BEHRINGER’s P-16 Personal Monitoring System, and additional connections include AES/EBU stereo digital output, MIDI, and Ethernet for networked remote control and on-screen software editor show setup.
