The Martin MAC Viper Profile is a high-output moving head profile luminaire built for concerts, touring, theater, and large event production where punch, precision, and speed matter. With a 1000-watt HID source and a highly efficient optical system, it delivers strong output while keeping power draw lower than many 1200-watt fixtures, and it is positioned as an alternative to 1500-watt units. The result is a bright, compact fixture that supports fast cueing and consistent looks across a rig.
Light Output and Optics
Rated at 26,000 lumens with a 6000K color temperature, the MAC Viper Profile produces excellent light quality with a very flat, uniform field. A large 140 mm front lens helps create the wider, "fat beam" look designers often want from a profile fixture, and the 1:5 zoom pairs with auto-linked focus for quick transitions between tight and wide coverage without constant refocusing.
Gobos, Animation, and Beam Effects
For texture and aerial work, the fixture includes two 5-slot rotating gobo wheels with all-glass gobos and optimized focal separation for cleaner morphing effects. A patent-pending FX wheel adds four fixed gobos plus a 135° animation effect for movement and breakup that reads well in haze and on scenery. Beam shaping tools include a fast iris with adjustable dynamic effects, a soft frost that maintains gobo visibility while softening edges (with linear focus blurring), and a 4-facet prism with rotation and index for tiling and multi-beam looks.
Color and Intensity Control
Color options include vibrant CMY mixing supported by an 8-slot color wheel with static colors and correction filters for quick bumps and matching. A linear CTO lets you dial from daylight to tungsten, useful for camera work, theatrical warmth, or blending with conventional sources. Intensity control comes from a combined dimmer/shutter system for instant blackout/open, smooth fades, and diverse strobe effects using mechanical or electronic control, or both in combination.
