Yamaha LS9 16 Channel Digital Mixing Console

The Yamaha LS9 16 Channel Digital Mixing Console (LS9-16) is a compact digital live sound and installed-sound mixer built for small to medium scale applications where fast setup, reliable processing, and scene recall matter. It provides 16 mic/line inputs plus stereo inputs in a two-layer workflow that can expand up to 32 channels, giving you room to grow from straightforward gigs to more complex productions.

Please note that an interface card is not included. This mixer shows signs of heavy wear but is in good working condition. A road case is included. 

LS9 Series Overview

The LS9 series consists of the 32-mic/line input 64-channel LS9-32, and the 16-mic/line input 32 channel LS9-16. While being compact and light enough for one person to move and set up easily, both models include features that have been field-proven in previous Yamaha digital consoles as well as outstanding sonic quality. In addition to an extensive range of gating, compression, and equalization capabilities, there's also a built-in USB memory recorder/player for recording or BGM playback, and other functionality that give you everything you need for small to medium scale live sound or installed applications in remarkably compact, all-in-one consoles.

Mixing, Routing, and Control

For monitor mixes, matrix feeds, and flexible system routing, the LS9-16 offers 16 mix buses, 8 matrix buses, plus stereo and mono buses with LCR mode. The Yamaha Selected Channel interface combines a color LCD with logically arranged encoders, helping you get to the parameters you need quickly during rehearsals and live shows.

Processing and Built-In Playback

Each channel includes practical dynamics and EQ tools (gating, compression, and equalization) that are useful for keeping vocals controlled, drums tight, and the overall mix consistent from venue to venue. The Virtual Rack provides effects and EQ options for common tasks like reverb, delay, and additional processing. A built-in USB memory recorder/player supports simple recording and BGM playback directly from USB media.

Scenes and Access Management

Scene memory enables instant store and recall of console parameters, including head amp gain, which can be especially helpful for repeat events, multi-band nights, or installed systems that need predictable setups. Advanced access management supports user keys (standard USB memory devices) that can be issued with different access levels for different users.
