The Extron HAE 100 is an HDMI audio de-embedder that extracts embedded audio from an HDMI signal and outputs it as analog stereo and digital S/PDIF. It is a practical solution for routing HDMI video to a display while sending audio to powered speakers, an amplifier, a DSP, or other audio equipment that does not accept HDMI.
Audio Extraction for AV and IT Workflows
The HAE 100 can de-embed audio with or without an HDMI output connected, which is useful for installations where audio must remain available even if the display is powered off, disconnected, or switched. It also provides a buffered HDMI video output to help maintain signal integrity through a system.
Video Compatibility and Signal Management
Designed for modern HDMI sources and displays, the HAE 100 supports data rates up to 6.75 Gbps for compatibility with HDMI Deep Color up to 12-bit. It is HDCP compliant and compatible with HDTV 1080p/60 or computer-video resolutions up to 1920x1200. Integrator-friendly features include EDID Minder® for simplified EDID management between the input source and the display, plus automatic input cable equalization and a comprehensive LED status display for quick troubleshooting.
