The ETC Source Four (Source 4) 5 Degree is a precision ellipsoidal spotlight that pairs a standard Source Four fixture body with a 5 degree lens tube for very long-throw, tight beam applications. It is commonly used for highlighting performers, architectural details, or scenic elements from FOH positions, catwalks, and other distant mounting locations where you need crisp focus and controlled edges.

Source Four's revolutionary technology gives you a clean white beam for unequaled imaging, crisp pattern projection, and a bright, even field. These features combine to make the coolest beam available in an ellipsoidal, meaning gels, patterns, and shutters last longer and your performance space stays cooler.

Optics and Beam Control

The 5 degree field angle helps concentrate output into a narrow beam, and the interchangeable lens tube system (with smooth-running Teflon guides) supports nine user-selectable field angle options when you need to reconfigure for different throws. For shaping and precision, the rotating shutter assembly offers ± 25˚ adjustment, and the 20 gauge stainless steel shutters are arranged in a tri-plane assembly for consistent cuts.

Rigging, Accessories, and Build

Built for production environments, the rugged die cast aluminum construction, steel yoke with two mounting positions, and positive locking double-clutch fixture body support secure hanging and repeatable focus. Two accessory slots and a top mounted gel frame retainer streamline gel and accessory use, while the slot for glass or stainless steel patterns supports gobo projection. A wide accessory slot with a sliding cover accommodates motorized pattern devices or an optional iris when tighter beam shaping is required.

Power and On-Fixture Handling

Rated for 750W maximum, the fixture includes a thermally insulated rear handle and high impact, thermally insulated knobs and shutter handles to improve comfort during focus. Stage pin connectors are used on the power cables.
