The ETC ColorSource Spot Body is an LED ellipsoidal spotlight fixture designed for stage, studio, house of worship, and event lighting systems that need consistent output and flexible beam-shaping. It uses a precise mix of red, green, blue, and lime emitters, allowing it to produce brighter, richer, and more believable colors, especially in warmer tones. For long cues and full-length shows, droop compensation helps maintain consistent color and intensity as the fixture warms up.
Color Mixing and Consistent Output
ETC applied its extensive color-mixing knowledge to the fixture to deliver bright, punchy color with strong output, while compensating for thermal droop to help prevent visible dimming or color shift over time. Easy-to-use RGB control automatically adds lime when needed, which helps smooth color blends and improves warm color rendering without requiring extra programming steps.
Control and Power Connectivity
The ColorSource Spot supports DMX in and thru for straightforward integration into standard lighting networks, plus RDM capability for remote addressing and basic fixture management when your system supports it. PowerCON connectors provide power in and thru, simplifying daisy-chaining on electrics, truss, or grid installations.
Optics, Accessories, and Source Four LED Compatibility
Optically calibrated, homogenized optics help deliver an even beam, and the low-noise fan supports use in quieter environments. The fixture includes slots for glass or stainless steel patterns and a soft focus diffuser, plus an accessory slot for motorized pattern devices or an optional iris. The ColorSource Spot accepts all the accessories, zoom and fixed-focus lens tubes, and CYC and Fresnel adapters that fit ETC’s Source Four LED luminaires, giving you the versatility of the Source Four LED system in an affordable fixture capable of filling multiple roles in a rig.
