NEW Ayrton Argo 6 Wash is a weather-sealed effects luminaire designed to deliver creative wash lighting indoors or outdoors. It pairs a minimalist, tour-ready design with features aimed at protecting the fixture in harsh conditions while keeping service access straightforward.

Outdoor-Ready Design for Demanding Environments

This luminaire incorporates total protection against harsh weather with easier internal access. An anti-reflective treated glass window is designed to maintain a clean visual result and improve performance. The placement of the pan and tilt motors in the base and head helps avoid the constraint of weatherproofing the yoke arms, and a submersible ventilation system in a non-waterproof compartment supports efficient cooling.

Optics Built for Punch and Coverage

The power and visual performance of ARGO 6 WASH is ensured by a proprietary optical system consisting of a 280 mm front lens cluster with 19 PMMA lenses, paired with 19 glass light guides featuring an optical micro-structure output surface. The fixture can produce a highly intense beam with a 14:1 zoom ratio, spanning a wide 4° to 56° zoom range for tight aerial looks, defined beam work, or broad stage washes.

RGBW Color Mixing and Pixel-Level Effects

ARGO 6 WASH is equipped with 19 x 40 W RGB+W LEDs using additive colour synthesis for up to 13,000 lumens of output and CRI up to 86. For the first time, AYRTON has provided individual control of the LEDs on the WASH version and added a virtually infinite library of effects, enabling detailed pixel-style looks, chases, and textured washes. A complete library of pre-programmed colours helps you quickly create subtle, dense, or contrasting swaths of light, while its black honeycomb and separation of the light sources are designed to increase perceived contrast. It can be used alone or in combination with the main LED matrix.

Precise, Smooth Movement for Live and Broadcast

High-resolution stepper motors operated via microprocessors ensure accurate, smooth movement, with extremely accurate positioning and PAN and TILT automatic repositioning. The moving head can be operated via either 8- or 16-bit resolution, offering fine control for programming. With 540° pan and 270° tilt, ARGO 6 WASH supports broad coverage and flexible rigging positions. Flicker-free sources management makes it suitable for TV applications and video-recorded events.
