The Disguise d3 4x4pro Media Server is a high-performance 4U rackmount media server built for demanding real-time video playback, multi-display output, and show control in touring productions, large multi-projector events, broadcast environments, and premium fixed installations. With four Stage outputs for driving high-resolution canvases and professional I/O for sync, audio, and control, it is designed to sit at the core of a production workflow where reliability and connectivity matter.

Built for Multi-Display Playback and Show Workflows

The 4x4pro provides 4 x DisplayPort 1.2 Stage outputs (up to 4096 x 2160 max) plus a dedicated DisplayPort 1.2 GUI output, supporting complex layouts across multiple display destinations while keeping an operator interface separate. For ingest, it supports 4 x HD-SDI or 2 x 3G-SDI video input, making it suitable for integration with professional cameras, routers, and SDI-based broadcast or live-event infrastructure.

Professional Connectivity, Sync, and Control

For systems that require tight timing across devices, the server includes BNC Genlock for video sync. Control and data connectivity is extensive, with Gigabit LAN (including a dedicated Artnet port), plus 2 x 10Gb/sec LAN ports for high-throughput media networking. MIDI I/O is provided for show control integration, and USB connectivity includes 2 x USB 2.0 and 3 x USB 3.0 for peripherals and accessories.

Audio I/O and Storage for Production Environments

Audio is handled by RME Professional hardware, with balanced XLR inputs and outputs, a 1/4" headphone jack, and ADAT/SPDIF I/O for digital audio workflows. Storage includes dual internal 80GB SSDs (system and restore) plus a 2TB removable SSD RAID array (expandable), supporting fast media access and serviceable on-site media handling.

System Platform and Physical Specs

The system runs Windows 8.1 Embedded Pro and is configured with 2 x Xeon Hexa-Core 3.5Ghz CPUs and 32GB DDR3 ECC RAM. It operates on 100-240V, 50-60Hz power, with typical power consumption of 800W at 110V (1000W max). The chassis is a 4U 19" rack mount design, measuring 445mm/17.52" W x 178mm/7" H x 593mm/23.35" D and weighing 43lbs / 19.5kg.
