Part of ADJ’s popular Hydro Series of robust IP65-rated automated luminaires, the ADJ Hydro Spot 1 is a versatile, LED-powered moving head spot fixture built for reliable use indoors or outdoors in any weather. It is ideal for temporary event production, from dusty desert festivals to cold and wet winter attractions, and it is also suitable for permanent installation in venues such as nightclubs and churches, where the sealed casing helps protect internal components from dust and grime to support reduced maintenance and longer service life.

High-Output LED Engine With Efficient Power Use

Harnessing the power of a potent 200-Watt cool white LED light engine, focused through precision-engineered optics, the Hydro Spot 1 delivers punchy output with even coverage. The efficient LED light source is much brighter than a traditional incandescent bulb that uses the same amount of power, while its 50,000 hours of expected operational life essentially makes lamp replacement a thing of the past.

Beam Control for Tight Spots, Wide Looks, and Crisp Projection

An extensive feature set provides lighting designers using the Hydro Spot 1 with a wealth of creative potential. Motorized zoom offers a variable beam angle of 12° to 23° for tight aerial looks or broader coverage, paired with motorized focus to keep GOBO and texture projections sharp across throw distances. Two frost filters (medium and heavy) make it easy to soften edges for more atmospheric looks or to blur patterns into a wash-style output.

Color, GOBO, Prism, and FX Tools for Dynamic Shows

For color and effects, the fixture includes two independent color wheels, each loaded with 8 dichroic colors plus white (including CTO, CTB, and UV filters) for fast, repeatable color changes. A dedicated GOBO wheel provides 6 slots for replaceable, rotating glass or aluminum GOBO patterns, with a GOBO shake effect for added motion. Two rotating prisms (5-facet linear and 6-facet circular) are indexable and help build multi-beam looks and aerial breakups that read clearly in haze.

Control, Dimming, and System Integration

The Hydro Spot 1 supports DMX512 and internal programs, and includes Wifly EXR (Wireless DMX) for cable-reduction in compatible workflows. It offers 3 DMX channel modes (17/20/22), smooth 0 to 100% dimming, various strobe speeds, selectable LED refresh rates (900 Hz to 25K Hz), and RDM (Remote Device Management) to streamline addressing and device management in supported systems. A color LCD display with a 6-button menu makes on-fixture setup straightforward.

Rigging-Friendly Movement and Pro-Grade Connectivity

Designed for flexible positioning, the fixture provides 630° pan and 270° tilt. Connectivity includes 5-pin XLR DMX in/out and IP65 PowerLock in/out for daisy-chaining power. Multi-voltage operation (90 to 240V, 50/60Hz) supports touring and installed environments, with a maximum power consumption of 280W. The fixture measures 9.49 x 14.57 x 19.21 inches (241 x 370 x 488 mm) and weighs 35.2 lbs (16 kg).
