The Lightware 16x16 DVI Matrix Router (MX-DVI-FR16) is a high performance, modular and expandable matrix switcher designed to route DVI 1.0 and HDMI 1.3 signals in professional AV systems and high-end home theater installations. With support for up to 16 inputs and 16 outputs, it is built for scalable video distribution where flexible switching, reliable signal management, and straightforward control are required.

Modular Matrix Switching for AV Distribution
MX-DVI-FR16 supports I/O configurations from 8x8 to 16x16, making it a practical fit for multi-display control rooms, presentation spaces, demo environments, digital signage back rooms, and larger home theater racks. EDID Management for Better Display Compatibility
To help reduce handshake issues between sources and displays, the router includes extensive EDID handling, including 50 factory preset and 50 user-programmable EDID memories, plus EDID emulation using 256-Byte Extended EDID v1.3. This is useful when multiple displays with different native capabilities are connected and you need predictable output behavior.
Control, Monitoring, and Front-Panel Operation
For local operation, the unit includes front panel buttons and a front panel LCD. For system control and integration, it supports serial control via RS-232/422 (9600 Baud RX, TX) and network control over Ethernet 10Base-T or 100Base-TX (auto-sensing).
Rack-Ready Build and Compliance
This is a 4U rack-mountable chassis with forced convection cooling (two 119 x 119 x 25 mm fans) for continuous operation in equipment racks. It is listed as EMI/EMC compliant (EN 55022 Class B) and RoHS compliant.
