Part of ADJ’s popular Hydro Series of robust IP65-rated automated luminaires, the ADJ Hydro Spot 1 is a versatile, LED-powered moving head spot fixture built for dependable performance indoors or outdoors in any weather. It is ideal for temporary event production, from dusty desert festivals to cold and wet winter attractions, and it is also well-suited for permanent installation in venues such as nightclubs and churches, where its sealed casing design helps protect internal components from dust and grime for reduced maintenance and longer service life.

High-Output LED Engine with Precision Optics

Harnessing the power of a potent 200-Watt cool white LED light engine, focused through precision-engineered optics, the Hydro Spot 1 delivers punchy output with even coverage. The efficient LED light source is much brighter than a traditional incandescent bulb that uses the same amount of power, while its 50,000 hours of expected operational life essentially makes lamp replacement a thing of the past. For designers and technicians, that means consistent brightness night after night with fewer interruptions for maintenance.

Zoom, Focus, and Beam-Shaping for Versatile Looks

An extensive feature set provides lighting designers using the Hydro Spot 1 with a wealth of creative potential. This starts with motorized zoom, allowing for a variable beam angle of 12° to 23°, paired with motorized focus to help keep GOBO projections sharp across changing throw distances. Two frost filters add fast beam-shaping options, a medium frost for lightly softening edges for GOBO and prism effects, and a heavy frost for a broader wash-style output when you need smoother coverage.

Color, GOBO, and Prism Effects for Aerial and Texture Work

The fixture features two independent color wheels, each loaded with 8 dichroic colors, including CTO, CTB and UV filters, plus white. A separate GOBO wheel offers 6 slots for replaceable, rotating glass or aluminum GOBO patterns, along with a GOBO shake effect for added motion and energy. Two rotating, indexable prisms (5-facet linear and 6-facet circular) expand the Hydro Spot 1’s aerial capabilities, enabling multi-beam looks and dynamic texture in haze or fog.

Control, Dimming, and Connectivity

The Hydro Spot 1 supports DMX512 control or internal programs, includes Wifly EXR (Wireless DMX) and RDM (Remote Device Management), and offers 3 DMX channel modes (17/20/22) to fit different console workflows. Smooth 0 to 100% dimming, multiple dim modes (Standard, Stage, TV, Architectural, Theatre, Stage2) and selectable dim curves help tailor fade behavior for camera, stage, or architectural use. Selectable LED refresh rates (900 Hz to 25K Hz) provide additional flexibility for flicker-sensitive environments.

Rig-Ready, Weather-Ready Power and Movement

Designed for professional production environments, the Hydro Spot 1 provides wide movement ranges (pan 630 degrees, tilt 270 degrees), 5-pin XLR in/out for DMX, and IP65 PowerLock in/out for daisy chaining power. It operates on 90 to 240V, 50/60Hz, with a maximum power consumption of 280W, and uses two cooling fans for thermal management. Dimensions are 9.49 in x 14.57 in x 19.21 in (241 x 370 x 488mm), and weight is 35.2 lbs (16kg).
