NEW ADJ Hydro Spot 2

Harnessing the power of a high output 320-Watt cool white LED engine, focused through precision-engineered optics, the ADJ Hydro Spot 2 is a powerful and versatile professional moving head luminaire built for demanding event production and installation environments. Its IP65-rated construction makes it ideal for temporary indoor or outdoor use in any weather, while the sealed casing design helps protect internal components from dust and grime for reduced maintenance and long-term reliability in venues such as concert halls, nightclubs, theatres, and churches.

Beam Control and Color Tools

Motorized zoom allows the fixture’s beam angle to be altered between a tight 8-degrees and wide 41-degrees, giving you the flexibility to switch from focused aerial looks to broader coverage without changing fixtures. Two frost filters can be applied to soften beam edges and further widen the beam angle. The medium frost filter is designed to lightly blur the edges of GOBO and prism effects, while the heavy frost filter allows the fixture to be used for wash lighting duties.

An almost limitless spectrum of colors can be generated thanks to CMY color mixing, while a separate variable CTO flag allows for color-corrected white light output. In addition, a color wheel is also provided with seven dichroic color filters, including CTB and High CRI options, which can be useful when balancing to other fixtures or camera requirements.

Gobos, Animation, and Aerial Effects

The Hydro Spot 2 offers two independent GOBO wheels, one with 8 static patterns and the other with seven rotating and replaceable GOBOs (either aluminum or glass). Motorized focus can be used to keep patterns crisp at different throw distances, and the integrated animation wheel expands the fixture’s capability for motion textures and scene transitions.

For widened surface projection and stronger aerial beam effects, the fixture includes a choice of two indexed, rotating prisms (5-facet linear or 6-facet circular). Combined with the fixture’s 15,000 lumen white light LED engine, this enables smooth 0-100% digital dimming (with selectable modes and curves) as well as variable-speed strobe effects for dynamic cues.

Control, Rigging, and Touring Practicalities

The fixture supports DMX512 control and internal programs, with three DMX channel modes (24/29/36) to fit different console workflows. It also includes Wifly EXR (Wireless DMX), RDM (Remote Device Management), a color LCD display with a 6-button function menu, and selectable LED refresh rates (900 Hz to 25K Hz) for camera-friendly operation.

For positioning, the head delivers 630 degrees of pan and 270 degrees of tilt. Connectivity includes 5-pin XLR in/out for DMX, and IP65 PowerLock in/out to daisy chain power. Multi-voltage operation (90-240V, 50/60Hz) supports travel and varied venue power. Max power consumption is 400W.
