The Artiste Picasso is a full-featured theatrical-grade LED framing spot luminaire built around a 620W 6,800K Cool White LED engine and advanced optics that deliver over 23,000 total lumen output. With a fast 7° to 55° motorized zoom, it can shift from tight aerial beams to broader stage coverage, making it well-suited for touring, broadcast, corporate events, and theatrical rigs where output, flexibility, and repeatable focus matter.

Color, beam shaping, and effects for demanding rigs

For precise color work, the Artiste Picasso includes a full CMY color mixing system for a wide palette of looks, plus linear CTO color correction for dialing in warmer color temperatures on cue. It also adds 6 dichroic colors, including a high 87 CRI filter for applications where skin tones and camera-friendly color rendering are a priority.

Beam and texture options include 7 rotating/indexing glass gobos and 7 static-stamped metal interchangeable gobos, along with a full 360° bi-directional animation wheel for motion effects. A 4-facet and linear rotating prism expand aerial looks, while 2 frost filters help soften edges or blend fields when you need a smoother wash-like output. Internal color, framing, prism, and frost macros speed up programming for consistent results across cues.

Framing and focus control

When you need clean shutter cuts and controlled spill, the fixture offers 4 rotating full blackout framing blades with +/- 45° individual blade rotation. A motorized iris supports variable pulse effects, and motorized focus with an auto-focus feature helps keep projections sharp across changing throw distances.

Control, networking, and quiet operation

The Artiste Picasso supports DMX, RDM (Remote Device Management), Art-NET, and sACN protocols, with locking 5pin XLR DMX, RJ45 ethernet, and power connections for reliable deployment. Elation’s E-FLY internal wireless DMX transceiver is built in for setups where running data cable is impractical.

For smooth movement and dimming, it provides 16-bit pan, tilt, and dimming control, variable dimming curve modes, and a high speed electronic shutter and strobe. Adjustable LED refresh rate frequency and gamma brightness help enable flicker free operation for TV and FILM. For noise-sensitive venues, a silent fan mode is available, and the unit also supports low heat, quiet operation, and a hibernation mode (power save).
