The Barco MatrixPRO 16x16 RGBHV Matrix Switcher (analog) is a high-resolution routing matrix built to switch and distribute a wide range of video formats, from legacy analog sources to high-resolution computer video. Designed for professional environments, it supports universal inputs including composite video, s-video, component, and computer video sources from 640x480 up to 2048x1536. Typical applications include live staging events, corporate boardroom presentations, and educational and training events.

Universal Analog Video Routing for Mixed Systems

MatrixPRO is designed for installations where multiple source types must be routed cleanly to multiple destinations. Universal inputs accept Composite, S-Video, Component Video, HDTV, RGBHV, and stereo audio, making it a practical choice when your system includes a mix of cameras, playback devices, and presentation PCs.

High-Resolution Performance and Reliable Switching

With 375MHz (-3dB) @ 0dBm minimum bandwidth (fully loaded, one input driving all outputs), MatrixPRO is built to maintain signal integrity across the matrix for demanding RGB and high-resolution video workflows. Vertical Interval Switching capability supports glitch-free switches when used with synchronous video sources. When sources are not synchronously locked, RGB delay is used.

VREF (for Vertical Interval Switching) is provided with loop through, or Channel 1 VSync, or extracted composite VSync input from Channel 1 Green.

Audio Control, Presets, and Flexible Operation

Audio can follow video or run as breakaway, with balanced stereo audio input and output signals. The operator can mute on a per output basis, control volume on a per input basis, and adjust output audio gain and attenuation from -75dB to +20dB. For fast room or event changes, memory presets save individual I/O configurations for recall via the front panel or RS-232/485, and the operator can save up to 16 “looks” from the front panel and 16 from the MP Control GUI.

Control and Integration for Installed Systems

IP (Ethernet) control is standard (static IP required), supported by the MP Control Software GUI for setup and control via serial or Ethernet. A front panel lockout mode helps prevent accidental changes in live environments. I/O grouping allows specific outputs to be grouped together to simplify installation and day-to-day operation. An auxiliary RS-485 connector provides RS-485 pass through for daisy chaining multiple matrix switchers.
