The Chroma-Q Space Force octo is a variable white LED space light designed as a modern replacement for conventional space lights and other soft light sources commonly used in film and TV studios. With a natively single-source design and a high-efficiency diffuser, it produces a smooth, soft, uniform 60° beam that is well-suited for overhead washes and broad, even key or fill where you want consistent, flattering illumination without the complexity of additional diffusion.

Light Quality for Studio Workflows

CCT is tuneable from 2,800K to 6,000K (+/- 200K), making it easy to match practicals, mix with daylight, or keep continuity across changing conditions. High color rendering and camera-friendly metrics (CRI up to 97, TLCI up to 97, TM-30-18 up to Rf 94 / Rg 100, SSI up to 87) help maintain natural-looking skin tones and reliable color reproduction on set. Variable PWM flicker-free operation supports shooting across a range of frame rates and shutter angles.

Output and Efficiency

Delivering hot lumen output up to 26,700 lm (comparable to a traditional 6kW fixture), the Space Force octo provides strong, diffuse illumination while running cool and efficiently. Its fanless design means no added noise on set, and the lightweight build (8kg / 17.6lb) helps streamline rigging and repositioning in studios.

Control and Integration

Control options include Manual Intensity / Colour Temperature and multiple operating modes including 2 channel Intensity / Colour Temperature, Focus, Link, Memory 1 / 2, and Addressing. The fixture supports Wireless DMX / RDM for flexible setup and remote management, and uses a Theatrical dimming curve for smooth fades and subtle level changes.
