To achieve an ultra-intense beam from a LED source, the Ayrton Huracan LT 1,000W LED Profile uses 225 mm-diameter, extra-large frontal optics weighing 7 kg. Its proprietary 13-lens optical system delivers a 15:1 zoom ratio with a wide 3.5° to 53° range, allowing tight aerial beams, crisp mid-throw projection, and broad coverage from the same fixture. Fitted with a next-generation, oversized liquid phase-change cooling system and a new high-efficiency 1000 W LED module, HURACÁN LT delivers record light output of 51,000 lumens at a colour temperature of 6700 K when operating at a steady state (integrating sphere measurement, Fan mode AUTO). For applications that demand consistent on-camera performance, it also offers flicker-free source management suitable for TV and recorded events.

Optics and beam shaping

The high-resolution optic system combines fast motorised linear zoom with tempered, anti-reflective coated lenses and the large 225 mm frontal lens to maintain output and image clarity across the zoom range. For shaping and softening the beam, HURACÁN LT is factory-equipped with a removable high-transmission diffusion filter to erase the edge of the beam without changing its angle, plus a progressive linear frost system for precise diffusion control when you need wash-like looks from a profile. Two combinable image-multiplying rotating prisms (a 4-facet linear prism and a 5-facet circular prism) expand aerial and texture effects.

Color, gobos, animation, and framing

For color work, the fixture uses a complex colour mixing system with a double CMY saturation level capable of generating billions colours (patent pending), along with variable CTB, CTO, and CTP correction and a fixed colour wheel with six complementary colours. Two indexable rotating gobo wheels provide seven high precision glass gobos plus open, with adjustable-speed rotation in both directions (gobo diameter 30.0 mm, image diameter 25.0 mm, thickness 1.1 mm). The 4-blade framing system covers a 100% surface area in all positions, with +/- 60° module rotation for accurate shuttering and clean cuts. A fast iris (15% to 100% open) supports dynamic beam effects, while the monochromatic multi-position graphical animation wheel (continuous rotation both directions) and the CMY & RGB colour graphic animation effect-wheel (continuous rotation both directions) add movement and texture for stage, broadcast, and event environments.

Motion and control for precision shows

HURACÁN LT is built for extremely accurate positioning, using high-resolution stepper motors and microprocessor control for smooth movement. It supports 8- or 16-bit moving-head resolution, pan and tilt automatic repositioning, and a wide moving-head range of 540° pan and 270° tilt. Light output can be adjusted with an electronic dimmer from 0 to 100% without colour variation, and the strobe effect is adjustable from 1 to 25 flashes per second.
