PROTEUS HYBRID is an IP65 rated 3-in-1 hybrid moving head designed to cover beam, spot, and wash looks from a single fixture, making it a strong choice for outdoor stages, touring rigs, and installs where weather resistance and flexibility matter. It uses the Philips MSD Platinum 21R 470W 80 CRI 8,000K lamp producing over 23,000 lumens to deliver punchy aerial effects, crisp gobo projection, and wide wash coverage as needed.

Optics and output control

Dial in the look with an advanced optical system and motorized zoom that shifts from 2° in beam mode to 38° in spot mode or 40° in wash mode. Motorized focus and auto-focus help keep patterns sharp across varying throw distances, while a high speed mechanical shutter and strobe supports fast cues and impact effects. An advanced internal thermal cooling system is built in to help maintain performance during long runs.

Color, gobos, and effects

For color flexibility, the fixture provides full CMY and linear CTO color mixing, plus 14 dichroic colors including CTB, CTO, and UV. Texture and motion effects are handled by 8 rotating glass interchangeable and 14 static-stamped metal gobos, a full 360° bi-directional animation wheel, rotating 8-facet and linear prisms, and a frost filter for softening the beam when you need a smoother wash-like output.

Control and connectivity

Integrate the Proteus Hybrid into common lighting networks with DMX, RDM (Remote Device Management), Art-NET, and sACN protocol support. It also includes Elation’s E-FLY internal wireless DMX transceiver. Connections are built for the road with IP rated 5pin XLR and RJ45 etherCON in/out, plus powerCON TRUE1 power in. A full color 180° reversible menu display with 6 button touch control panel and battery backup for display power help simplify setup and addressing, even when power is disconnected.

Power and physical specs

A multi-voltage universal auto switching power supply (100-240v) supports straightforward deployment across venues. Dimensions are 18.4” (465mm) long, 22.5” (571mm) wide, with a vertical height of 31.7” (805mm). Each fixture weighs 84.0 lbs. (38.0 kg), which is important to account for in rigging and transport planning.
