Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio Pro is a rack-mount video recorder and player built for broad workflow compatibility, featuring a more advanced design that includes 6G-SDI so you can work in SD, HD, and Ultra HD formats. It includes a wide range of video and audio connections in both analog and digital, making it a practical bridge between legacy gear and modern SDI/HDMI systems. Get SD, HD up to 1080p60 and Ultra HD up to 2160p30 all in the one deck.
Format and connectivity flexibility
HyperDeck Studio Pro supports SDI rates of 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, and 6G, helping it integrate into a variety of broadcast and production infrastructures. It provides 1 SDI input and 4 SDI outputs (single link or quad link), plus HDMI input and output via HDMI Type A connectors with Ultra HD 4K support. For environments that still rely on analog video, it also includes Y, B-Y, R-Y analog video inputs and outputs.
Audio, timecode, and reference for professional workflows
For audio integration, the deck includes balanced and unbalanced analog options: 2 XLR analog audio inputs for professional balanced sources and 2 RCA inputs for consumer equipment, along with 2 XLR analog audio outputs. Embedded audio is supported over SDI (16 channels in SD and HD in QuickTime files, 2 channels in Avid DNxHD MXF files) and HDMI (8 channels in SD and HD in QuickTime files, 2 channels in Avid DNxHD MXF files). Timecode can be connected via 1 XLR in and 1 XLR out, and reference input supports Tri-Sync or Black Burst for sync in multi-device setups.
Setup and control
Configuration can be handled from the front panel or via a USB 2.0 high speed interface. A Type B USB 2.0 port is included for initial setup, software updates, and HyperDeck Utility software control, which is useful for standardizing settings across installations.
Rack-ready design
Designed for standard racks, HyperDeck Studio Pro measures 19" x 6.18" x 1.75", making it easy to integrate into broadcast racks, flypacks, and studio furniture.
