ROBE ROBIN BMFL Blade (Pkg of 2)

The ROBE ROBIN BMFL Blade (Pkg of 2) is a pair of BMFL Blade moving head lighting fixtures designed for precise beam shaping, gobo projection, and fast, repeatable in-air effects for concerts, touring, theater, and large venue production.

A dual road case is included.

Precision Framing and Repeatable Beam Control

Four fast shutter blades with smooth and precise movement in the new BMFL Blade lighting fixture. Individually angled and positioned within a frame, which itself can rotate through 90 degrees, providing a sharp or soft, precisely repeatable, frame for the projected image. Each pair of opposing blades can close to a complete blackout, making it easy to cleanly cut spill, shutter off scenic elements, or build tight graphic looks on stage.

Dynamic Aerial Effects, Gobos, and Animation

Producing a new series of fast-moving in-air effects through pre-programmed shape and movement sequences of the blades, gobo images can be trimmed or framed in a regular, triangular or trapezoid shape. Two gobo wheels, one rotating with six slot and lock gobo positions plus another with 8 static gobos can be combined with the Animation wheel to create numerous dynamic projected effects. For additional texture and punch, the fixture includes indexable prisms, a motorized iris with pulse effects, and variable frost options for smoothing edges or widening the look.

Optics, Color, and Movement for Versatile Rigging

The BMFL Blade uses a compact short-arc metal halide lamp (PGJ 28 Lok-it! base, approved model Osram Lok-it! HTI 1700/PS) with automatic and remote on/off control, a dichroic glass reflector for maximizing light efficiency, and an 11:1 zoom optical system. The wide zoom range (5° to 55°) supports tight beam looks, mid-angle aerial effects, and wider coverage without swapping fixtures. Color mixing is handled via CMY and variable CTO (2,700 to 6,000 K) for balancing to camera or matching ambient sources, plus two color wheels for quick, repeatable color hits. Motorized pan and tilt (540° pan, 270° tilt) provide broad coverage and flexible focus positions across truss, floor packages, and overhead systems.
