The Hive Lighting Wasp 100-C is a compact Par Spot Omni-Color LED light kit built for video and photo production where you need fast, repeatable color control. It uses only 100W while delivering an output comparable to a 650W incandescent, making it a practical choice for small studios, location work, and tight power budgets.
Precision Color Control with Perfect S.H.O.T.
The Wasp 100-C features Hive’s Perfect S.H.O.T. system, letting you adjust Saturation, Hue, Output, and Color Temperature to dial in the look for your scene. With 0 to 100% saturation, 360° hue control, and 0 to 100% dimming, you can quickly match ambient light, create bold color effects, or fine-tune subtle tones without swapping gels. The wide 1,650K to 8,000K color temperature range supports everything from warm practicals to clean daylight setups.
High Color Accuracy for Camera Work
With 98 CRI and 97 TLCI, the Wasp 100-C is designed to render skin tones and wardrobe colors naturally on camera, helping reduce color correction time in post. This makes it a strong fit for interviews, product shots, and narrative lighting where consistency across takes matters.
Flexible Control and Power Options
Adjust settings directly on the fixture, or integrate the light into a larger lighting workflow using DMX control. Smartphone control is also supported for quick tweaks when the fixture is rigged out of reach. For power, the light accepts 100 to 240 VAC via the included power supply and can also run on 12 to 28 VDC via 4-pin XLR for battery-based location setups.
Compact, Lightweight Build for Location Kits
The Wasp 100-C keeps your kit portable at 5 lbs (2.3 kg), with a body measuring 7.5 in (190mm) long by 4 in (100mm) in diameter and a 5 in (127mm) reflector face. The kit ships at 24 lbs, and includes a hard case with custom foam for transport and protection.
