The Martin MAC Viper Wash DX is a full-feature, full-range automated wash luminaire designed for professional stage, broadcast, and event lighting where you need powerful output and precise beam shaping. Its unique internal barndoor system (shutters) lets designers shape and control light projection onto stages, performers, scenery, scrims, or any set element with great precision, making it a highly capable automated substitute for a conventional daylight Fresnel fixture.
Optics and Light Quality
Delivering 33,000 lumens, the MAC Viper Wash DX provides excellent light quality with a flat, uniform field that holds together across the entire zoom range. The fast 1:5 zoom spans 13.5 to 59 with continuous adjustment and no visible beam jump when moving from tight to wide, helping you shift from punchy, focused washes to broad coverage without distracting transitions.
Color and Temperature Control
The CMY color mixing system offers vibrant color mixing with a superior palette of colors, including true reds, rich ambers, primary green, and deep blues. A linear CTO system provides daylight-to-tungsten CCT control and expands the CMY palette for more natural correction and matching across mixed lighting environments.
Beam Shaping and Effects
In addition to the internal barndoor system (shutters) for clean shaping, the fixture includes a combined dimmer/shutter system for intensity effects, instant blackout/open, and smooth fades. A fast, tight iris supports adjustable dynamic effects, and multiple strobe modes provide diverse strobe effects for cues that need impact and texture.

The MAC Viper Wash DX adopts the compact form, impressive speed, superior light quality, and beautiful colors that the MAC Viper Profile is renowned for, and it uses the same 1000-watt lamp. Physical dimensions are 472 mm (18.6 in.) base length and 566 mm (22.3 in.) head length, 473 mm (18.6 in.) width and 335 mm (13.2 in.) base width, and 732 mm (28.8 in.) height with the head straight up (749 mm or 29.5 in. maximum). Fixture weight is 34.1 kg (75.2 lbs.).
