Chauvet Professional Ovation C-640FC is a compact RGBWA LED cyclorama wash fixture designed as a practical replacement for halogen cyc lights. It can create practically any color in the gel books while consuming less power than traditional fixtures, making it a smart fit for theatres, touring rigs, schools, houses of worship, and permanent installs that need consistent, repeatable color.

Color Mixing for Stage and Video

The addition of white and amber chips affords superb color rendering and a vast palette from soft pastels to saturated hues. For quick, familiar looks, the built-in Virtual Color Wheel (VCW) gives instant access to the industry's most popular cyc and strip colors, accessible in standalone operation or via DMX.

Control, Coverage, and Fixture Workflow

Ovation C-640FC is theater-ready with 16-bit dimming control (master dimmer and individual color) for smoother fades and better low-end performance. Two individually adjustable heads help you shape coverage on the cyc or backdrop, and onboard options such as standalone color mixing, color temperature presets (2800 to 10000 K), dim curves (5), and built-in and customizable automated programs make it easy to work without a console when needed.

Power and Performance Details

Power linking is fast and convenient using industry standard Neutrik powerCON connectors. The fixture uses 64 LEDs (16 red, 16 green, 16 blue, 8 white, 8 amber), 3 to 5 W (850 mA), with a 50,000 hour life expectancy. Output and optics are optimized for cyc applications with a 35° beam angle and 65° field angle, delivering 141 lux at 5 m. Electronic dimming and shutter/strobe provide 0 to 20 Hz strobe effects, and a 900 Hz PWM frequency supports stable operation for many camera and video use cases.
