NEW Lightronics RD121 Rack Mount Dimmer

The RD121 is a 14,400 Watt, 12 channel, rack mount lighting dimmer. It is suitable for church, stage, theater, school, night club, live performances and other event and artistic applications. With 1200 Watts per channel, it provides the capacity needed for multiple incandescent or dimmable loads in a single rack space footprint, making it a practical choice for venues that need centralized dimming and straightforward wiring.

Control is via low voltage signals, either LMX-128 (3 wire multiplex) or USITT DMX-512, so the dimmer can integrate into many existing lighting consoles and control systems. Channels may be independently assigned from the unit, supporting flexible patching for changing plots, multi-use rooms, or touring style setups.

Protection, Cooling, and Channel Control

The unit is fan cooled and includes over temperature and over voltage protection for added operational resilience in demanding environments. Each channel has a fast acting magnetic circuit breaker, helping isolate faults to a single output rather than taking the whole system down.

Built-In Functions and Configuration

• Dim/Non-Dim mode by channel for mixed systems where some circuits need switched power rather than dimming.
• Softpatch and channel assignment from the unit for flexible setup without rewiring.
• 8 chases for simple standalone looks or basic effects when console control is limited.
