The NEW Lightronics RD122 Rack Mount Dimmer is a 28,800 Watt, 12 channel lighting dimmer designed for permanent installs and mobile rigs in church, stage, theater, school, night club, live performances and other event and artistic applications. With 2400 Watts per channel, it is built to handle common incandescent and dimmable loads across multiple circuits from a single rack space solution.

Control & Compatibility

The RD122 is controlled via low voltage signals, supporting both LMX-128 (3 wire multiplex) and USITT DMX- 512, making it a practical fit for many lighting consoles and existing control infrastructure. Channels may be independently assigned from the unit, allowing flexible patching to match your system layout and fixture plan.

Power, Protection & Operational Flexibility

The unit is fan cooled for sustained operation in demanding environments. For system protection and serviceability, it is over temperature and over voltage protected and includes a fast acting magnetic circuit breaker for each channel. Each channel also supports Dim/Non-Dim mode, which can help when a circuit needs to be switched rather than dimmed.

Built-In Looks & Patch Tools

For standalone or quick programming needs, the RD122 includes 8 chases and Softpatch capabilities, providing additional routing and playback options without requiring external processing.
